Ried (single vineyard, cru) Renner is situated on the slope below the Ried Gaisberg Riesling terraces. The soil structure here is getting deeper and is offering more retention for the wines. Beside loess a high proportion of erosion material from primary rock (brownish para-gneiss, amphibolite and mica) is the foundation of this vineyard.
