Noble rot Prädikat wines (Auslese, BA, and TBA) can only be produced in exceptional years, as noble rot (Botrytis) very rarely develops in significant quantities due to the dry, continental climate of the Danube region. However, should noble rot be present in sufficient quantities, we very carefully and gently select the affected berries and grapes from the vineyards and, in a second selection process, further sort the harvested grapes into berries for the various Prädikat classifications. The wine is aged for 6 months in small 300-liter oak barrels.
